Does anyone know that Singapore Idol has a season 3?
Well, if your answer is no, I wouldn't be surprised. I watched the season 2, and it sucks. So I decided not to watch. But then, I watched one show (feeling bored), and then changed my mind and decided to watch, since there is really some solid talent involved and some of them are really good.
But then you have the results, which puts all those with talent out the competition. Just like this 17-year-old girl called Tabitha, she's so good (see her rendition of Mama Do on youtube), but yet Singaporeans don't vote for talent. She didn't make it to the finals. This is the first real time, that if one person in the finals actually win, Singapore Idol can close down for good.
So after 27th of December, when you stumble on the papers and saw press coverage, or media coverage on the winner. If you see that it is a female winning, then good for us, our country got hope. If its a male, then you might have your worst idol in history. (Well nothing sexist or feminist, because most of you won't know which contestant is which, so the gender allocation will help you)
Anyway the new instructors and conductor came. Surprised to say, they gave me renewed hope. I hope it continues this way.
